Cedevita Olimpija brings in young talent Duscak

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana invested in playmaker Dan Duscak, who signed a four-year deal with his new team on Friday. Duscak (1.82 meters, 18 years old) arrives from Real Madrid. He played for Real's second team in the Spanish fourth division last season, averaging 5.6 points in 16 games. Duscak also took part in the 2019-20 Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament qualifier in Munich, averaging 6.8 points, 5.0 assists and 2.8 steals in four games off the bench for U18 Real Madrid. He had 6 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the ANGT Munich first-place game, in which Real beat U18 Stellazzurra Roma 88-104. Duscak was also part of the Real team that won the 2019 ANGT crown as the best U18 side on the continent. His father, Slavko Duscak, reached the 2003 ULEB Cup Finals with Krka Novo Mesto and played professional basketball for almost two decades. His son Dan is now set to make his EuroCup debut with Olimpija next season, and he will do so for his hometown club as he returns to his native Slovenia.
