Andorra brings back big man Sy

MoraBanc Andorra continues to build on recent successes by signing big man Bandja Sy to a two-year contract, the club announced Wednesday. Sy (2.04 meters, 29 years old) averaged 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14 games in the 7DAYS EuroCup for Andorra during the 2019-20 season Sy is the third player Andorra has re-signed in the last few days after bringing back David Jelinek and Tyson Perez from last season's team.

The 2019-20 season was Sy's fourth in the EuroCup after playing in the competition for SLUC Nancy of France in 2014-15 and 2015-16 and for Partizan NIS Belgrade in 2018-19. After playing college basketball for New Mexico in the United States, the Frenchman started his professional basketball career in 2013 with Pau-Orthez of France. In between his stints with Nancy and Partizan, Sy played the 2016-17 season with ASVEL Villeurbanne and started the 2017-18 campaign with AEK Athens of Greece before joining Partizan in January 2018. He won the Serbian Cup in both 2018 and 2019 with Partizan.
