Herbalife Gran Canaria has made its second backcourt signing of the weekend by adding AJ Slaughter on a one-year contract. The experienced American, 32, has signed from fellow Spanish side Coosur Real Betis. Slaughter first appeared in the 7DAYS EuroCup in 2011, when he spent the season with Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Since then he has represented Cholet Basket, Elan Chalon, Banvit Bandirma and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, also playing in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Panathinaikos Athens in 2014-15. In total he has made 97 appearances in the two competitions, averaging 10.8 points per game. Slaughter's arrival in Gran Canaria comes one day after the club signed playmaker Amedeo Della Valle.
