Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana added size and experience to its backcourt by inking playmaker Roko-Leni Ukic to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Ukic (1.96 meters, 35 years old) arrives from Antibes, where he averaged 12.4 points on 90.3% free throw shooting and 4.4 assists in 21 games in the French second division last season. This is Ukic's third stint with Cedevita - the first two coming before the merge with Olimpija when the team was located in Zagreb. He played for Cedevita during the 2014-15 season and returned for the 2017-18 campaign, helping the club win two Croatian doubles - league and cup titles. He started his career with Split of his native Croatia, where he made his EuroCup debut in 2003-04. Ukic has also played for Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and FC Barcelona of Spain, Virtus Roma, Pallacanestro Varese and Pallacanestro Cantu of Italy, Toronto and Milwaukee of the NBA, Fenerbahce Istanbul of Turkey, Panathinaikos Athens and AEK Athens of Greece, and Metropolitans 92 of France. He helped Split win the Croatian Cup in 2004 and lifted the Spanish Copa del Rey trophy twice: with Baskonia in 2006 and Barcelona in 2007. Ukic also led Fenerbahce to back-to-back Turkish doubles in 2010 and 2011, as well as winning two Greek League crowns and a Greek Cup title between 2013 and 2014. In addition, Ukic helped Baskonia reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in 2006. He also brings in some 7DAYS EuroCup experience, appearing in 25 career games with Split and Cedevita and amassing 253 points (10.1 ppg.) and 108 assists (4.3 apg.). He dished out 14 assists for Split in a game against Ionikos NF Egnatia Bank on January 20, 2004, which still ties for fifth most in a EuroCup game ever. Ukic has also been a member of the Croatian national team.
