Boulogne Metropolitans 92 returned a French talent to their home country with the signing of Lahaou Konate to a four-year deal on Saturday. Konate (1.96 meters, 28 years old) spent the past season with Iberostar Tenerife in Spain, with which he won the 2020 Intercontinental Cup. He averaged 3.0 points per game in the Spanish League in a reserve role. It was his first team abroad after playing the first nine seasons of his professional basketball career in France, starting with Denek Bat Bayonne Urcuit before moving to ALM Evreux, Le Mans and Nanterre 92. Konate returns to the EuroCup after averaging 7.4 points on 46.7% three-point shooting for Le Mans during the 2016-16 season.
