UNICS Kazan and Nate Wolters signed a one-year deal on Saturday that will make him the next point guard for the Russian powerhouse. Wolters (1.93 meters, 29 years old) comes off an injury-plagued season with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, during which he averaged 7.5 points and 2.7 assists in 15 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. Wolters played two more seasons in EuroLeague, making his debut in 2016-17 with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and he spent one season with Zalgiris Kaunas. He now returns to the EuroCup where he made his debut with Besiktas in the 2015-16 season, when he shined averaging 15.6 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 10 regular season appearances. During his career, Wolters also suited up for Milwaukee, New Orleans and Utah in the NBA, Grand Rapids and Salt Lake City in the D-League and Chalon in France. Wolters won the Adriatic League and the Serbian League and Cup double in his time with Zvezda as well as the Lithuanian championship with Zalgiris.
