UNICS Kazan added some veteran leadership on the wing with the signing of John Holland to a one-year contract, the club announced Monday. Holland (1.96 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Hapoel Jerusalem with which he averaged 10.8 points on 39.7 percent three-pointers and 4.0 rebounds in 15 Israeli League games last season. He also collected 13.0 points on 55.6% three-point shooting, 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals in seven Basketball Champions League games while also helping Jerusalem to the 2020 Israeli Cup title. He played college basketball at Boston University and made his professional debut with Roanne in France. He played with Cajasol Seville of Spain, where he made his EuroCup debut and also played with Gravelines-Dunkerque of France, Besiktas Istanbul of Turkey - also playing in the EuroCup in those two seasons as well. Holland also played with Canton in the D-League and Cleveland of the NBA, playing in the 2018 NBA Finals. He also played with Austin of the G-League and Santeros de Aquada of Puerto Rico. Holland is also a member of the Puerto Rico national team.
