Boulogne Metropolitans 92, Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, Frutti Extra Bursaspor and Herbalife Gran Canaria have joined other 7DAYS EuroCup teams in tipping off their preparations for the coming season. Metropolitans is coming back to the competition for the first time since 2018, and the French team will be out to match its best result - having reached the quarterfinals in 2014-15. Metropolitans starts its Group B campaign on September 29 at Unicaja Malaga. Buducnost is excited to get back to action after struggling to a 3-7 record in the regular season in 2019-20 after having played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague the previous season. The Montenegro team is also in Group B and open its EuroCup journey at home against Germani Brescia on September 29.
Bursaspor began its pre-season with the thrill of making its international debut this season. The Turkish side will battle in Group D with its opening game on September 29 at home against Dolomiti Energia Trento. Gran Canaria meanwhile returns to the European stage after sitting out last season following a 2018-19 campaign in the EuroLeague. The Spanish club is used to playing deep into the EuroCup, reaching the final in 2015, followed by the semifinals and two quarterfinals appearances the following three seasons. Gran Canaria tips off its Group D campaign at Promitheas Patras on September 30.
