Joventut Badalona, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and JL Bourg were the latest teams to start up their preparations for the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup season with the teams beginning their warmups with different expectations. Joventut head coach Carles Duran went through the first practice with his available players as the Spanish club looks to accomplish big things in the competition. Joventut landed some big names in the off-season including Ante Tomic, Pau Ribas and Ferran Bassas and the club would love to add another EuroCup crown to its trophycase along with the 2008 title. Joventut starts its season against Partizan NIS Belgrade at home on September 30.
Lokomotiv head coach Evgeny Pashutin also has the goal of hoisting the trophy, like he did with the club in 2013. Lokomotiv has kept a lot of its top players from 2019-20, including Mantas Kalnietis, Johnny O'Bryant and Alan Williams while also adding experienced scorer Jordan Crawford. Lokomotiv will start its EuroCup season on September 30 at home against Telnet Giants Antwerp.
Bourg also started its journey towards the season and will go into the campaign ready to make its international debut. The French club will be out to win as many games as possible and the first could come as soon as September 30 when Bourg plays at Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul - the Turkish team which is making its EuroCup debut and has already tipped off its preparations. Bourg head coach Savo Vucevic has added some firepower with the likes of Kadeem Allen, Thomas Scrubb and Darel Poirier. Two other teams which have already tipped off preparations are Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana and Dolomiti Energia Trento.
