Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana added another rising star to the mix by penning teenage forward Luka Scuka to a four-year deal on Thursday. Scuka (2.08 meters, 18 years old) arrives from Nova Gorica, where he rose in the ranks through the junior categories to reach the senior team. Last season he averaged 15.8 points in Slovenia's third division. Scuka has also represented Slovenia at the U16 and U18 levels.
"We are happy that Luka has joined Cedevita Olimpija," Coach Jurica Golemac said. "He is considered one of the most talented basketball players on our premises. Luka is a young, very intelligent guy who has a lot of room for development. Our task is to provide him with quality work so that he will be able to develop as needed. We don't want to rush; we have to be patient with him. I am convinced that Luka will help Cedevita Olimpija and Slovenian basketball."
