Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Jarrod Jones, the club announced Friday. Jones (2.06 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Darussafaka Istanbul, where he averaged 9.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in 17 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, in which he helped his team reach the Turkish Cup final. He started his career with Kyiv of Ukraine and has also played for Alba Fehervar, Atomeromu SE Paks and Szolnoki Olaj of Hungary, Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropol and AS Monaco of France, VL Pesaro of Italy and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir of Turkey. Jones helped Alba win the Hungarian double - league and cup titles - in 2013 and also lifted the Hungarian League trophy with Olaj in 2016. He has also been a member of the Hungarian national team. "I am excited to have become part of Cedevita Olimpija," Jones said after the agreement. "It is a great club with a rich tradition. I look forward to an exciting season and the opportunity to add my part to the club’s history. I can't wait to arrive in Ljubljana."
