Buducnost VOLI Podgorica added a big scoring to its perimeter with the signing of a former All-EuroCup guard Amedeo Della Valle for the reminder season, the club announced on Friday. Della Valle (1.93 meters, 27 years old) arrives from a fellow 7DAYS EuroCup squad Herbalife Gran Canaria, where he averaged 13.0 points in two appearances before parting ways with the club, and according to the EuroCup bylaws, he becomes eligible to be registered for Buducnost after the end of the regular season. Also yesterday, Buducnost parted way with guard Rashad Vaughn.
Della Valle spent the last two years with AX Armani Exchange Milan, where he averaged 5.8 points in 21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. Before that, Della Valle played four-plus seasons for Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia and was an All-EuroCup First Team selection in 2018. That season he ranked second in the 7DAYS EuroCup in scoring (17.5 ppg.) and performance index rating (20.2 per game). Della Valle started his career at Casale Monferrato before moving to the United States for three years, playing for Findlay Prep High School and Ohio State University before joining Reggio Emilia in 2014. Della Valle helped Reggio Emilia win the FIBA EuroChallenge title in 2014 and reach consecutive Italian League finals in 2015 and 2016. He has been a regular with the Italian national team, too. Della Valle led Italy to the gold medal at the 2013 U20 European Championships.
