Gran Canaria, Slaughter agree on deal

Herbalife Gran Canaria announced on Tuesday an agreement to have guard AJ Slaughter join the team for the reminder of the season, pending the medical tests. Slaughter (1.91 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Betis Seville of the Spanish League, where he started the season. Slaughter has plenty of EuroCup experience in the competition, having already played a total of 74 EuroCup games with teams like ASVEL, Banvit and Cholet over six seasons. In those 74 appearances, Slaughter averaged 11.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists. In 2014-15, he also played his only EuroLeague season with Panathinaikos Athens.
