UNICS brings in swingman Koulechov

UNICS Kazan added depth to its roster by signing swingman Egor Koulechov for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Koulechov (1.96 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Ironi Nahariya, where he averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in 28 Israeli League games last season. Born in Volgograd, Russia, Koulechov grew up in Israel and played college basketball at Rice University and the University of Florida. He started his professional career with Maccabi Rishon LeZion and also played for Hapoel Unet Holon before joining Nahariya. Koulechov helped Rishon win the Israeli League Cup in 2018. He has also been a member of the Israeli national team.
