MoraBanc Andorra bolstered its frontcourt by signing center Artsiom Parakhouski for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Parakhouski (2.11 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Tsmoki-Minsk of his native Belarus, where he averaged 10.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in four VTB League games this season. He started his professional basketball career with VEF Riga of Latvia and has also played for Budivelnik Kyiv of Ukraine, Olin Edirne of Turkey, Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel, Nizhny Novgorod and UNICS Kazan of Russia, Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania, Partizan Belgrade of Serbia, and Strasbourg of France.
Parakhouski helped VEF win the Latvian League in 2011 and lifted the Ukrainian Cup with Budivelnik in 2012. He won three more domestic titles - the Israeli League with Maccabi in 2018, the Lithuanian Cup with Rytas in 2019 and the Belarusian Cup with Minsk this season. Parakhouski has played 56 7DAYS EuroCup games with five different teams - VEF, Jerusalem, UNICS, Rytas and Partizan, during which he's averaged 9.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots. He ranks 12th all-time in blocks (69) and 47th in rebounds (322). Parakhouski, who also played three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaigns with UNICS, Maccabi and Nizhny, reached the EuroCup Quarterfinals twice - with Jerusalem in 2014 and Rytas in 2019.
