Buducnost head coach Mijovic resigns
Buducnost VOLI Podgorica is in search of a new head coach after Petar Mijovic resigned from the position on Wednesday night. Buducnost dropped to a 1-2 record in Group G of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 after an 87-65 road loss against the unbeaten Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Round 3 on Tuesday, and Mijovic announced his resignation a day later. "I made big steps forward in my career and improved as a basketball coach with Buducnost, and I have special feelings about this club," Mijovic said in a statement. "My decision is a result of a serious thought process and my desire to put the club's interests ahead of my own." Mijovic has been with Buducnost since 2017, coaching the club's youth team, as an assistant, and finally as a head coach in October 2019. Buducnost has won nine of 20 EuroCup games under Mijovic since then.
