Trento relieves Coach Brienza of duties

Dolomiti Energia Trento relieved Coach Nicola Brienza of his duties on Sunday and appointed assistant coach Emanuele Molin to take over. Trento is 1-2 in Group F of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 after placing third in Group D of the regular season with a 6-4 record. The team is 12th of 15 teams in the Italian League with a 6-11 record. Brienza was appointed head coach in the summer of 2019 and has guided Trento to the Top 16 in both of his seasons on the bench.

Molin has been with Trento as an assistant since 2017. A three-time EuroLeague champion as Ettore Messina's assistant with Virtus Bologna and CSKA Moscow, he served as Real Madrid's head coach at the end of the 2010-1 campaign and led the team to the EuroLeague Final Four.
