Valencia Basket reached a new agreement with point guard Sam Van Rossom to keep working together next season. Van Rossom (1.88 meters, 35 years old) is set to start his ninth consecutive campaign with the Spanish powerhouse. He averaged 7.3 points on 87.0% free throws and 2.6 assists in 33 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. Van Rossom joined Valencia in 2014 and has helped the club to win two 7DAYS EuroCup titles in 2014 and 2019, reaching the Finals in 2017. He also led the club to win the Spanish League and the Spanish SuperCup titles in 2017. He was named to the 2018-19 All-EuroCup Second Team. Van Rossom started his career with BBC De Pinte and Ostend of his native Belgium. He also played for Scavolini Pesaro of Italy and Baloncesto Zaragoza of Spain before joining Valencia, as well as being a member of the Belgian national team. He helped Ostend win back-to-back Belgian League titles in 2006 and 2007, and also lifted the Belgian Cup trophy in 2008 with the same club. Van Rossom ranks 10th all-time in the EuroCup's assists standings (324), 17th in three-point shots made (136) and tied for 15th place in games played (99).
