Hamburg Towers keopt getting ready for its 7DAYS EuroCup debut next season by signing forward Eddy Edigin to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Edigin (2.01 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Bayer Giants Leverkusen, where he averaged 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 35 German second division games last season. He started his career with FC Bayern Munich's second team and also played for Giants TSV 1861 Noerdlingen, Brose Baskets Bamberg and Baunach Young Pikes before joining Leverkusen. Edigin has also been a member of the German U20 national team. "I was very happy about the offer from Hamburg Towers. Pedro (Calles) told me very quickly what he expected from me," Edigin said. "He trusts me to make the leap into the German League. I am very grateful that I can now prove myself here."
