Montenegrin champ Buducnost VOLI Podgorica announced on Friday the return of veteran forward Vladimir Micov for one season. Micov (2.01 meters, 36 years old) played the last four seasons in AX Armani Exchange Milan. In his last season there, he averaged 6.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 30 Turksih Airlines EuroLeague games, as he helped the team reach the Final Four again after more than one decade. Before Milan, Micov had played with Galatasaray Istanbul, with which he won the 7DAYS EuroCup title in 2016.
This will be Micov's fifth EuroCup season, his first two being from 2007 to 2009 precisely with Buducnost. This will be Micov's third stint with the Montenegrin champ. He made his debut there in 2005 and then went to Partizan Belgrade after a couple of seasons. One year later, he returned to Buducnost for two more seasons and in 2009 left until now. Micov is an accomplished veteran of European basketball having played in teams such as CSKA Moscow, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz or Cantu among others.
