Virtus adds size with Jaiteh

Virtus Segafredo Bologna bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Mouhammadou Jaiteh to a two-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Jaiteh (2.11 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Gaziantep Basketbol, where he averaged 16.7 points and a competition-best 10.8 rebounds in 30 Turkish League games last season. He started his career with Centre Federal du Basket-Ball and also played for four other French squads, SO Maritime Boulogne, Strasbourg Nanterre 92 and Limoges CSP, as well as for Avtodor Saratov of Russia. Jaiteh helped Nanterre win the French Cup title in 2014 and lift two trophies, the French Leaders Cup and the EuroChallenge, in 2015. He has also been a member of the French national team. In 36 7DAYS EuroCup career games with Limoges and Nanterre, Jaiteh averages 8.2 points and 5.6 rebounds.
