Lietkabelis Panevezys reached an agreement with Spanish powerhouse Movistar Estudiantes to get guard Dovydas Giedraitis on loan next season, the 7DAYS EuroCup club announced Monday. Giedraitis (1.93 meters, 20 years old) averaged 6.4 points in 16 Spanish League games last season. He started his career in his native Lithuania, playing for Ezerunas-Karys Moletai, Volfas Engelman Vilnius and VISI KARTU Vilnius's U17 team, and joined Estudiantes in December 2017. Giedraitis has also been a member of the Lithuanian U16, U18 and U19 national teams. He helped Lithuania win a silver medal at the 2016 U16 European Championships. Giedraitis is set to make his EuroCup debut with Lietkabelis in the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.
