MoraBanc Andorra announced on Tuesday the addition of young forward Mario Nakic on a two-year deal. Nakic (2.02 meters, 20 years old) arrives from Filou Ostend, where he averaged 8.4 points on 56.7% three-point shooting in 22 Belgian League games last season. He helped Ostend win the Belgian double - league and cup titles - in 2021. Nakic started his career with Zemun and Partizan Belgrade of his native Serbia, joining Real Madrid's youth structure in 2015. He made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Los Blancos in the 2019-20 campaign. Nakic helped U18 Real Madrid win the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament in 2019, earning MVP honors. He averaged 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 4 games, scoring 33 points in the Championship Game against U18 Mega Bemax Belgrade. Nakic, whose father Ivo was a EuroLeague champion with Partizan in 1992, is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Andorra in the upcoming 2021-22 season.
