Virtus Segafredo Bologna strengthened its backcourt by inking guard Ty-Shon Alexander to a two-year deal with an option to stay longer, the club announced Wednesday. Alexander (1.93 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Canton of the G League, where he averaged 9.3 points in 15 games last season. He started the 2020-21 campaign with Phoenix of the NBA, averaging 0.7 points in 15 games. Alexander has also been a member of the USA national team, helping it win a bronze medal at the 2019 Panamerican Games. "I am looking forward to joining this group of great talent and great players. It is an honor for me to be part of Virtus Segafredo Bologna," Alexander said after the agreemente. "I am ready to showcase my talent and experience special moments with my teammates, coach and fans."
