Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana brought another one of the country’s top players into the fold with the signing of swingman Zoran Dragic. The contract is for the remainder of the season. Dragic (1.96 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Zalgiris Kaunas, where he appeared in eight games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season. It was his eight EuroLeague campaign; Dragic has suited up for Unicaja Malaga, Khimki Moscow Region, Armani Milan, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Zalgiris in Europe’s premier competition. He has averaged 7.9 points in 152 EuroLeague games.
Dragic grew up with Slovan Ljubljana and also played with Krka Novo Mesto in his native country. He spent the 2014-15 season between Phoenix and Miami of the NBA, as well as Sioux Falls of the NBA G League, and also played with Trieste in Italy and ratiopharm Ulm in Germany. It was with Ulm that he last played in the EuroCup; he averaged 14.1 points in seven games during the 2019-20 campaign. Dragic has also been a member of the Slovenian national team.
