Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar will have to do without one of the 7DAYS EuroCup’s most productive players, big man Johnathan Motley, for the next few weeks, the club announced on Friday. Motley injured his shoulder in his team’s loss to Joventut Badalona and the club’s medical staff has sidelined him for the rest of January. According to the team’s head of medical services, Konstantin Shubin, Motley has a damaged right shoulder joint. They have chosen to use conservative treatment for the next two weeks before reexamining the player. Motley is ranked third in the EuroCup in both performance index rating (23.9 per game) and scoring (21.2 ppg.), tied for fourth in blocks (1.1 bpg.) and ranked sixth in rebounding (7.0 rpg.) in this, his first EuroCup season.
