Gran Canaria forward John Shurna will be sidelined indefinitely after contracting bilateral pneumonia following a case of COVID-19, the club announced on Monday. While development of his condition seems favorable, Shurna remains under strict medical monitoring, the club added. The veteran forward, playing in his sixth 7DAYS EuroCup season, is averaging 11.7 points on 56.5% three-point shooting, along with 4.4 rebounds through seven games. He has been Gran Canaria's second-best scorer and top rebounder, playing almost 25 minutes on average. Gran Canaria enters Round 10 with 6-2 record and holding second place in Group B.
