At the end of his first season in European basketball, Anthony Bennett lifted the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague trophy. Bennett signed only to play the EuroLeague and scored 9 points in a home loss against Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz late in the regular season. But once the Fenerbahce roster recovered from a rash of injuries, Bennett’s playing time dropped. He appeared in only one playoff game and in the championship game. Despite averaging 1.2 points and 0.9 rebounds in 10 games and leaving the club days after winning the EuroLeague title, Bennett considered his experience to be a satisfying one. "It has definitely been a crazy experience," Bennett said after the final. "Me being out there for the first time, in the EuroLeague, I definitely accomplished more than what people can say."
