CSU Asesoft Ploiesti
"We played a team that caught a great day, but that does not excuse our poor performance tonight. We lost the rhythm of the game in the second and third quarter, after which it was almost impossible to get back in the last 10 minutes. The [visitors] scored from each position, with extraordinary ease, while we missed many free throws. These things made the difference at the end. We have to play four more games, two at home and two away in Vilnius and Jerusalem. We will try to approach every game to win, regardless of opponent, because as Krasny Oktyabr caught a perfect day in Ploiesti, so we are capable of big wins, even on foreign land. "
BAUERMANN, DIRK
Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd
"When I took over this team, almost a month ago, I found many players who had no trouble getting to the basket, but who had no care of developing a scheme based on tactical offensive basketball. I tried to change their conception about basketball and it seems that tonight I had a clear answer from my players at this level. We had good movement of the ball and we scored important baskets, and also we tired our opponent with good passes and aggressive pressing. We won a very important game with a bigger difference than that of the first game in Volgograd, when I was not with the guys, but this success will not help us with anything unless we impose next week with Hapoel. Congratulations to the host for its organization and professionalism. I wish good luck to CSU Asesoft".

"We played a good game tonight against a team with experienced players at this level. I think we respected the tactical plan, we passed more and we had very good percentages behind the arc, and all these elements helped us to win. In addition, we thought about the first game in Volgograd, an infamous one for us, because in the meantime we have new players like Culpepper, and a new coach, which gave us confidence."
