Barcelona won its first game in ULEB' s Euroleague against Buducnost in Podgorica. The Spanish team was better during the whole game. The advantage of Barcelona exceeded the 9 points early in the game (6th minute) and Aito' s players succeed to keep it until the end. Buducnost had the chance to reverse the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when it had an advantage of 2 points in minute 36, but Podgorica team made too many mistakes and allowed Barcelona to take the game under its control. Sasha Obradovic missed the first game in Euroleague because of an injury and it was a great handicap for Buducnost. Radonjic and Bakic could not stop Barcelona' s guards Jasikevicius and Rodriguez. Barcelona used its advantage on the center position. During almost the whole game Barcelona played with three players taller than 2m. In that situation, forward Gasol was very efficient and used his height in duels with shorter guards of Podgorica team. Yugoslavian National Team pivot Tomasevic was the best in the home team, but not enough for winning the game. Buducnost spent so many balls on ineffective 3- point shots. The very skillful players of Barcelona punished that point of the game, and won by 8 points.
