Brunner and Smith fueled a 0-6 run that helped Benetton to get a 21-24 edge early in the second quarter. Tomas Satoransky hit free throws and a jumper by Bullock provided another lead change, 25-24. Alessandro Gentile and Massimo Bulleri hit consecutive jumpers, as Cajasol tried Tariq Kirksay as point guard now. A driving layup by Skinner soon gave the guests a 29-30 edge. Free throws by Juanjo Triguero allowed Cajasol to get a 31-30 edge as both teams headed back to the locker rooms.

Motiejunas scored down low immediately after the break but Davis singlehandedly restored a 35-32 Cajasol lead. Motiejunas and Davis traded baskets but free throws by Peric got Benetton within 39-38. Jakub Wojciechowski buried a bomb from downtown but Cajasol improved its defense from that moment. Meanwhile, free throws by Bullock ignited a 9-0 run in which Katelynas had 6 points to boost the hosts' lead to 48-11. Smith tried to change things with a three-pointer but a red hot Katelynas sank free throws for a 50-44 score. Stefan Markovic beat the buzzer with a big basket for a 50-46 Benetton deficit after 30 minutes. Davis shined with a put-back layup early in the fourth quarter and a layup by Popovic gave Cajasol a 54-46 lead. Markovic tried to change things with free throws that Urtasun matched in the other end. The hosts tried to use long possessions to run the game clock down and another basket by Davis made it a double-digit game, 58-48. Smith and Toolson struck from downtown to bring Benetton back to life, 60-54, with 3 minutes left. Bullock buried a jumper that sealed the outcome, 62-54, as Benetton did not recover in the last 2 minutes.

PLAZA, JOAN
Cajasol Seville
"One of the goals at the start of the season was playing both competition at the best level, not to do better in one of them. I think we are respecting both competitions. Of course, we would like to have more wins in the Spanish League, but we have a good momentum in both competitions now. We saw a good game tonight. We managed to down an undefeated team in the Eurocup, with high-level players. It was a fun-to-watch game in which we managed to win three out of four quarters and in which Cajasol has shown tha it wants to reach as high as possible in the Eurocup. Our fans came to San Pablo to help us and cheered for us when things did not go well. I would like to thank them for that. That's what I would like to keep seeing until the end of the season."
REPESA, JASMIN
Benetton Treviso
"I would like to congratulate Cajasol because they played an all-around game. Both teams were in very different situations in this game. Cajasol played an excellent fourth quarter while we had physical and technical problems. Cajasol was able to pressure and be aggressive for 40 minutes while Benetton cannot play defense for 30 minutes at that level. The worst part is that we lost by 11 points, Cajasol's biggest lead in the entire game. We have to work hard and practice, execute our systems on the floor and that way, I hope we can improve in the upcoming games. After seeing all three teams in this group, it looks like Cajasol is the best one right now."

"This is a very important win for us because we need to protect our home court. A 2-0 start is very important for our confidence. We are in a good moment but must stay focused because there are a lot of teams, not the best in Europe, that relax when they are in a good moment and they can't keep that level afterwards. It is very important for us to stay focused and hungry to keep winning games, as we have done nothing important yet. We just managed to win a couple of games and have a lot of work to do. We need to keep winning. We have to keep improving."
TOOLSON, RYAN
Benetton Treviso
"First of all, we made a lot of mistakes, especially when it came to rebounding in the third quarter, which didn't allow us to play easily. It happened the same to us in the fourth quarter, too. We had rebounding problems and did not hit our shots. We must work had and think on the next games. We knew that Cajasol is a good team that is doing well in the Spanish League. It also came off a road win against Panellinios. We lost this game but must think forward and try to win the next one."
