Five players scored in double figures as Köln 99ers held on to beat Ovarense Aerosoles 78-81 on the road in Group B. Köln improved it record to 3-2 as it was led by 23 points and 8 rebounds from Toby Bailey. Immanuel McElroy collected 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Aleksandar Nadjfeji chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals off the bench. Nuno Cortez chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, but Cordell Henry only scored two points in 29 minutes of action. Ovarense goes for victory number one next week at home against FMP while Köln plays at Elan Chalon in hopes of improving its record to 4-2.

Stempin put the hosts on the board first and Köln went ahead 4-6 on a three-point play by Bailey. Idbihi's foul shots made it 5-9 before Fernando Neves hit a three-pointer and Brown converted a three-point play for an 11-9 Ovarense lead. A Stempin three-ball and four points by Cortez made the advantage 20-15, which Byars trimmed to 20-18 after one period with a three-pointer. Elvis Evora scored four of Aerosoles's first five points of the second in opening a 25-18 cushion. Four points by McElroy and an Idbihi basket highlighted a 2-10 Köln surge to grab the lead 27-28. Ovarense pulled ahead 33-32 before Byars knocked down another three-pointer. But Reed drained two long balls of his own to give the hosts the lead 39-37 at halftime. Byars started the second half with a three-pointer only to be answered with a three-point play by Brown for Ovarense. Brown tied the game at 46-46 but Idbihi scored back-to-back baskets - the second of which he converted for a three-point play - and Bailey knocked down a long ball for a 48-54 Köln advantage. Bailey hit three foul shots to up the lead to 50-59 and Köln was leading 53-62 after three periods. Cortez hit the first basket of fourth quarter and Stempin's three-pointer cut the margin to 60-66. But Köln's Nadjfeji answered with a basket and Bailey knocked down a three-ball for a 60-71 Köln lead. Reed however scored back-to-back baskets as the advantage shrunk to 68-71 with four minutes left. McElroy converted a three-point play and Bailey followed with another three-ball as Köln again led by nine points - 68-77. Stempin's three-pointer and foul shot trimmed the gap to 76-80. Nadjfeji missed both free throws and Evora knocked down both of his attempts from the stripe to make it a 78-80 game.
