U18 Real Madrid remained undefeated at the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Qualifying Tournament Coin with a 72-61 victory over U18 FC Bayern Munich. Amar Sylla came off the bench to lead Madrid with 11 points to go with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Diego De Blas added 10 points for Madrid, which ended Group B play with a 3-0 record. Madrid will play in the Coin final against U18 Unicaja Malaga on Sunday at 3pm CET. Bayern, which got 25 points from Vladimir Pinchuk, lost its third straight game for a 0-3 record in the group and will face U18 Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul for seven place.

Bayern was staying close with Madrid early on with the game even at 8-8 thanks also to a three-pointer from Nelson Weidemann. A three-pointer from Dino Radoncic started a 9-2 Madrid spurt for a 17-10 lead, which was 19-13 after 10 minutes. Sylla came off the Madrid bench and wowed the crowd with three spectacular blocks while De Blas scored six points as the lead swelled to 27-15. Pinchuk did his best to keep Bayern close with six points but De Blas nailed a three-pointer and Sylla threw down a big dunk at the buzzer of the first half with Madrid ahead 37-25. The big man combo of Pinchuk and Marko Pecarski kept Bayern in the game, getting a 42-31 deficit down to 42-36. Melwin Pantzar picked up four points in helping Madrid stay up 48-40 after 30 minutes. Pecarski brought Bayern to within 53-47 but Carlos Unanue nailed a three-pointer to push the lead to 58-47. Sylla continued to produce for Madrid with seven points as the lead was 64-54. Weidemann did pick up a steal and dunk to trim the gap to 64-58 with 2 minutes left but Madrid brought back its starters and Radoncic and Acoydan McCarthy finished off Bayern in the closing minute.
