"We made a lot of mistakes in the first three quarters, but we played very good in the last quarter. But the result of the series isn’t decided yet. We were very good today in rebounds. Budivelnik is one of the leaders in this component in the Eurocup. But we controlled rebounds, especially offensive rebounds. If we didn’t score, we got another chance to score and to kill the time. We had problems with Anisimov under the basket in the first half and we didn’t stop Lyons, but we expected such game from this player. Now only the first half is finished and we have the advantage of 11 points. We could have won by more but we missed a lot of open shoots. The advantage of 11 points is very dangerous. I would prefer to have 3-4 points. I never had the experience of this in such games. It will be very important to prepare mentally our players for the second game."

"It was a great pleasure to play here in St. Petersburg against an ambitious team, which has high goals. Spartak’s game today wasn’t surprise for us. But our mistakes were a surprise. Our big men had only 5 offensive rebounds and the rival did under our basket what he wanted. Spartak tried to play aggressively on defense, but when they gave us a freedom we made mistakes. They grabbed 16 offensive rebounds and it’s very good that we lost not by 25 points. When we started to play our basketball in the third quarter everything was ok and if we will respect ourselves and play how we can in Kiev, everything will be ok with us."

"I don’t want to say too much about this game. It was only the first half of the quarterfinal series and the most important game will be in Kiev. Now we have to forget about this game and we have to play for the victory there and not to keep the difference. I think our defense became the key for victory today though we allowed to the rival to score more than 70 points. We were like a team and we were patient in offense. This helped us win."
