U18 Porsche Basketball Academy Ludwigsburg locked up its best performance at the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT by beating U18 Spars Ziraat Bank Sarajevo 82-59 for third place at the ANGT Qualifying Tournament Marko Ivkovic Belgrade. Matthew Meredith nailed 4 three-pointers to lead Ludwigsburg with 24 points while Danielius Lavrinovicius collected 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Spars grabbed fourth place with Srdan Kocic picking up 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

After Kocic opened the scoring for Spars, Ludwigsburg hit the next six points. Three-pointers from Meredith and Quirin Emanga pushed the lead to 16-6. And Lavrinovicius also connected from long range for a 19-8 margin. Tarik Biberovic answered with a long ball of his own as Ludwigsburg was up 19-11 after 10 minutes. A Meredith three-point play pushed the gap to 23-13 and he also hit a three-pointer to push the margin to 30-19. Lavrinovicius added two straight baskets and Ludwigsburg scored the final four points of the half to go into the break ahead 40-25. Meredith continued his hot shooting with another triple and Thorben Doeding also hit from long range as the lead grew to 46-25. Spars got the deficit down to 15 points but Lavrinovicius and Meredith sandwiched three-pointers around a Doeding three-point play as the lead swelled to 57-31. Mateo Seric joined the three-point barrage and Lavrinovicius made it 66-36 late in the quarter, which ended with Ludwigsburg up 66-41. Spars was able to cut the gap to 68-49 but Ludwigsburg scored the next seven points for a 75-49 advantage and put any doubts to an end.
