Johnson remained red-hot as Aris twice tied it and Johnson twice responded for Banvit; he had 11 points through seven minutes as the visitors led 12-15. Cohen free throws brought the hosts with 16-17 after 10 minutes. Cohen opened the second half with a go-ahead triple, but Johnson tied it at 19-19 with his 15th point! A.J. Slaughter free throws gave the visitors a 21-23 edge midway through the second quarter, but Theodoros Zaras tied it from the line, McNeal’s steal and score put Aris ahead and Zaras added a triple in a 9-0 run that made it 30-23. A McNeal triple put Aris up 8, but Courntey Forston closed the gap to 33-29 at the break.

Banvit surged ahead as Adrien Moerman drained a pair of threes in a 0-10 run that helped the visitors to a 35-39 lead. Spyros Mourtos tied it, but a triple by Johnson put Banvit back ahead. White tied it twice for Aris before McNeal put the hosts in front and a Dominic Waters’s three made it 51-46 through three quarters. Vidmar and Forston scored to bring Banvit within 52-50. "It is beautiful night for us because we took an emphatic victory. We won first place in the group. Today I am happy because we showed tremendous mentality in the way we played, we had tremendous energy and everyone was ready. That makes me very happy and optimistic. Congratulations to everyone. The teams has cohesion and chemistry. At the moment I do not think we will change a player, unless we find someone shockingly good that can give us a boost. But at this stage it is not a priority. "

"Aris has a very long tradition in Europe. We knew from the start that it will be very difficult to cope in the face of such an opponent and its fans. Aris is best when playing at home. I have come to this court five times with five different teams and it was always difficult here. Our main goal was to qualify for the Last 32 and we did that. Surely it would have been better if we finished in a higher position. Last year we got the Eurocup semifinals, but we have only one player back from last year's team. So overall I'm pleased. Aris used a pick-and-roll system that caused us many problems in our defense. "

"The guys did an excellent job. Congratulations to everyone. We have had some great victories and, of course, suffered some tough defeats, but the result clearly satisfies us. I want to congratulate the coach and the coaching staff. They did excellent work to prepare us each for all these difficult games. No victory is easy in this tournament. Today I missed some easy layups. The important thing is to keep on playing. It is a game. A lot can happen during the game. What I have in my mind is to keep going regardless of what happens, to always look forward."
