Evans had 12 points in less than 12 minutes to keep Darussafaka briefly in touch, but Roll hit four runners and Jeremy Pargo knocked one down from downtown to help extend the margin to 31-16 midway through the second quarter. A three from John DiBartolomeo extended the lead to 18 points, before Savas and Zanis Peiners with a triple helped cut it to 38-23 at halftime. However, Black and Johnny O'Bryant combined to score 11 points in a 13-4 run in the first 5 minutes of the third quarter as Maccabi got its biggest lead of the night, 51-27. Darussafaka never got closer than that. Tyus opened the fourth quarter with a pair of dunks. DiBartolomeo had a three-point play and a three-pointer to open a 72-51 advantage before the hosts closed out the game.

Head Coaches

SFAIROPOULOS, IOANNIS
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv
"I want to congratulate our players for the emphatic win. We controlled the game from our great defense, we allowed our opponents to score 23 points in the first half and a total of 58. I think that with our good defense from the beginning till the end we built up a point difference that gave us an easy win in the end."
ERNAK, SELCUK
Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul
"Congratulations to Maccabi. They controlled the game. We did not do enough, especially with our guards, we couldn't produce what we normally produce on offense. We also missed Micheal Eric a lot with rebounds. Maccabi did a lot with offensive rebounds tonight. That is basically the summary of the game."

Players

DIBARTOLOMEO, JOHN
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv
"We established a good rhythm early and we were able to keep it for most of the game and come out with a very important win. We're taking it a game at a time and although last week was a loss, there were some good things in the game and we were able to take those and build on. Against Milan we weren’t as good defensively as were tonight and I think that played a key difference."
KANE, DEANDRE
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv
"We played well today, we really came out aggressive on defense and it helped us get into the rhythm on offense. Everybody contributed, guys had a great game. We also had a good week of practice and it all carried over to the game. It was a good win for us."
BLACK, TARIK
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv
"I think we started off great. A start means a lot, and we started off on a run. We got a good rhythm going throughout the game. Any team is dangerous once they catch a good rhythm, and we are really dangerous once we do. So we started off the right way."
ROLL, MICHAEL
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv
"They only scored 58 points. They can get going really quickly, and that was our focus at halftime, not to let them make a quick run. They scored more in the second half, but we controlled the game."
