Ian Vougiokas - Unics Kazan - EC13 (photo Unics)Unics Kazan rolled at home on Wednesday and defeated Kalev Cramo Tallinn with hardly any problems at all by 94-44. The win allows Unics to stay undefeated in Group G with an 8-0 and also wins the group, while Kalev Cramo drops to 1-7 and is mathematically out of the Last 32 race. Andrew Goudelock led the winners with 18 points, Ian Vougioukas added 17 and Chuck Eidson and Evgeny Kolesnikov posted 10 apiece. For Kalev Cramo, Fall Bamba had 13 points and Tanel Sokk added 11.

Unics Kazan showed it meant business soon with a 9-0 starting run capped by Nikita Kurbanov. Bamba Fall broke the ice for Kalev Cramo Tallinn, and Ty Abbott soon added a three for 11-5. But Unics didn't cave in and soon was up to 24-7 again thanks to another run that made it 26-7 after 10 minutes. The Unics steamroller kept on rolling in the second quarter as Ian Vougioukas was already up to 7 points. Turnovers and rebounds were keeping Kalev Cramo totally overwhelmed and by minute 12 the score was 35-10. The guests recovered a little in the second half of the second quarter with Fall and Tanel Sokk leading the charge, but Unics was ahead thanks to a 9-1 in assists for a 49-26 at the halftime break. The third period continued balanced, more like the second. But of course, that also meant that Unics was playing at ease on the scoreboard with a comfortable lead, 69-40 after 30 minutes. In the final period, Unics even managed to pull away further and never looked back to roll for a new win to stay undefeated.

"Two weeks ago we lost to Kalev in the VTB League. Therefore today we were supposed not just to win, but to pay back for that bad defeat. I am pretty pleased with the win and with the way my team played on court all 40 minutes. My every players entering the game did well, were properly motivated and the result was pretty clear."
VARRAK, ALAR
Kalev Cramo Tallinn
"What can I say after such a defeat like this?! This was evidently the worst game for us this season. We were in quite a difficult situation, missing three leaders from our roster. On the other hand, the game could not be called a decisive one, since our team could not qualify to the next Eurocup round. Therefore it was quite uneasy for me to motivate my players."
