Bayern survives Zalgiris in thriller

U18 FC Bayern Munich started its Group A campaign with a win by holding off U18 Zalgiris Kaunas in an 85-83 thriller. The German team never trailed and appeared to be cruising with a 20-point advantage in the third quarter, but Zalgiris roared back in the final ten minutes to bring the game to a thrilling conclusion. Sasha Grant led Bayern with 19 points and 7 rebounds, and Jason George also scored 19. Zalgiris was paced by Mantas Rubstavicius with 20 points, while Kerr Kriisa added 19 points and 5 rebounds and Paulius Murauskas netted 14.
