Butterfield got ALBA going with a corner triple, igniting a 0-7 run that Stefan Peno capped with a layup. Brian Qvale and Babb stepped up for Lokomotiv and free throws by Mardy Collins brought the hosts within 8-9. Butterfield kept pushing the visitors with a jumper and got help from Marius Grigonis and Luke Sikma to take an 11-17 lead. Trevor Lacey and Ragland brought the hosts within 15-19 after 10 minutes. Qvale took over with consecutive baskets early in the second quarter. Babb and Pavel Antipov each struck from downtown in an 8-0 run that gave Lokomotiv the lead, 27-21. Akeem Vargas and Bennet Hundt tried to change things for ALBA, but Frank Elegar and an unstoppable Babb kept Lokomotiv in charge, 34-30, at halftime.

Back-to-back triples by Ragland and Babb boosted the hosts' margin to 40-32 soon after the break. A three-pointer by Babb capped an 11-0 run that broke the game open. Peno and Sikma combined for all the points in a 0-6 ALBA run, but Ryan Broekhoff, Ragland and Elegar kept Lokomotiv in charge at 59-42 through three quarters. Babb's fifth triple and a layup by Collins sealed the outcome at 64-42 early in the fourth quarter. ALBA never gave up, but Lokomotiv fans had plenty of time to celebrate their team's well-deserved win.

"We spent the last week of hard practicing to be prepared for the period in front of us. We are still searching us. We still have ups and downs in our game, in any game we play. So if you want to be more consistent, we really need to be mentally more ready. The beginning of the game wasn’t good. Even though we have different starting lines in different games, we have a slow bad start. You cannot play that kind of enter against bigger teams. Our next is UNICS. So you got to be more ready for a longer period to play. All in all, I’m pretty satisfied with the result today. The game was up-and-down that was expectable. We had another new guy today with us – Elegar. He has to adjust to the team because didn’t practice with us from Kopaonik. He practiced only last couple of days. He needs time. People maybe also. There was a great atmosphere here, what the fans brought to us. Maybe you get more nervous. The most important is to analyze the games always. We are happy with the win. We are going to learn from this game and I think we will play better and better basketball."

"Congratulations to Lokomotiv. They played better than us. We started well and got a lot of easy shots. But Loko’s defense was good. We had a lot of turnovers. We lost the ball a lot of times. And this is the result. They won the game."

"They are a tough team. They played really hard, really aggressive for 40 minutes. We had a very good week of preparation. We were really prepared for what they were going to do offensively and defensively. But it took us two quarters to take the first punch and we finally adjusted in the third quarter. I think we did a good job and played in the third and the fourth quarter very well."
