Both teams combined for as many as 28 three-pointers and Luke Babbitt had 8 for the hosts. The win lifts TED Ankara to a 5-4 record in Group F with good options still to make the Last 32 and one round left. Nizhny Novgorod drops to 7-2, but is already qualified for the next phase. Clay Tucker led the winners with his 23 points, Vladimir Golubovic had 20 plus 9 rebounds, Kristaps Valters nailed 18 and Berkay Candan had 14. For the hosts, Babbitt led all scorers with 28 points and 8 of 10 threes. Vadim Panin added 11 and two players had 10 apiece: Dijon Thompson and Primoz Brezec.

Caner Erdeniz put Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler ahead with his starting three, but soon, Nizhny Novgorod with two threes by Semen Antonov to make it 9-3. With a 9-6 having points from only beyond the arc, the figure increased to six threes in five minutes for a 17-12 edge for the hosts. With a 0-6 burst however in the closing minutes of the first period, TED Ankara jumped ahead again 20-22, and went up to 20-29 with two threes by Kristaps Valters until Brandon Paul hit a bucket for 22-29 after 10 minutes. Nine three-pointers total in the first quarter. In the second quarter, TED Ankara even managed to take that lead a bit further but Nizhny Novgorod reacted again until Luke Babbitt's three made it 39-38. The last two minutes of the second period were an exchange of baskets as Vladimir Golubovic was back to top form and hit his ninth point for 43-44 at the break. In the third period TED Ankara started with a 3-15 capped by a three by Berkay Kandan for 46-59. Primoz Brezec stopped the bleeding, but the guests stayed in the driver's seat for the rest of the period for a 64-71 edge after 30 minutes. The last quarter entered the last five minutes at full throttle. Babbitt was killing it from beyond the arc to keep Nizhny Novgorod close enough, and then Ivan Savelyev scored for 77-81 and four minutes to go. Clay Tucker scored once again keeping TED Ankara somewhat safe but Antonov replied with, what else? a three. Babbitt added even a new three, his eighth, and Vadim Panin tied the game at 85-85 and then added a free throw for 86-85 entering the last minute. Golubovic stepped up with a huge three-point play for 86-91 and after Babbitt had a trip to the line, but he only hit one of the two attempts, 87-91.

"This game for us was very important, and we wanted this win more than our opponents. In the first match against them in this group, we were very unlucky. Five weeks ago we were in the last place of our group, and now we are close to going to the next stage. Congratulations to my players for doing that."
