“The first thing, I am really proud of my team to arrive to this round and have chances to qualify for the playoffs with three games remaining. This is something we hoped when we started this tough EuroLeague. It is true that we kept surviving. We needed to win two or three more gamed to have better chances to get to playoffs, but this is something that says good things about my players, my staff, my entire team. It is clear there were two faces of my team tonight. We had a horrible first half, we were not defending at all, we let them score 76% shooting twos, and 60% shooting threes, and then with these numbers it is difficult to do anything. We changed our face and played much better defense in the second half. We reduced their shooting to 50% at everything, but the score of the first half was hard to make up. We improved our defense, but we got worse in turnovers. We had a lot of turnovers, especially in crucial moments at the end of the game. We had unforced turnovers. I remember three of them in last 3 or 4 minutes that could probably have given us a chance to win or tie the game. Bamberg deserved to win the game. We were competitive in the second half, but in this EuroLeague you have to play like that for 40 minutes.”
