Head Coaches

PLAZA, JOAN
Real Madrid
"Lottomatica Roma isnot a very conventional team, as it has can with all five players outside the zone. The fact that we have big man that play inside, added to that fact, caused us some problems during the game. I am happy because we were able to overcome their pressure and that Lottomatica did not manage to get a considerable lead at any time. We won out second consecutive game and that give us some extra energy to keep working hard."
REPESA, JASMIN
Lottomatica Roma
"My team played a good game, and it's a shame we didn't win. Real Madrid got a big lead, we tried to cut it back with some defensive changes and some more intensity, and we got to the end with a chance to win. Again, little mistakes kept us from completing our mission. That's our second loss in a row away from home by a few points against very strong teams. We'll just have to keep working until we win one."

Players

TUNCERI, KEREM
Real Madrid
"We had it tough when Lottomatica switched to zone defense in the second quarter. It was not our best game but we keep improving. It is important to win at home and improve to 2-0 in the standings. We cannot allow to have a 15-point lead and see it disappear in our own court."
LOPEZ, RAUL
Real Madrid
"Lottomatica Roma was a very tough opponent, we knew it wouldn't be an easy game even when people could thought so. They only lost by three points against Panathinaikos in Athens. It was tough for us to lose our first-quarter lead and we struggled against their zone defense, but we managed to play well down the stretch and win the game."
UKIC, ROKO
Lottomatica Roma
"We lost again by a narrow margin, just like in Athens. We have to go one step higher, from playing well to actually win games. We managed to rally from a 15-point deficit with our zone defense, but we did not manage to step up in the final minutes. Raul Lopez hit a couple of critical shots, so we go back to Rome knowing that we could have won this game."
