Uros Duvnjak added 19 on 10-of-10 free throws for Panionios. Dusan Mladjan led Radnicki with 16 points. Mouphtaou Yarou and Dennis Seeley each added 14 while Stefan Balmazovic had 11 for the guests, which overcame a slow start to get a 9-15 lead late in the first quarter. McCollum stepped up for Panionios and got help from Duvnjak to make the hosts get a three-point edge, 28-25, at halftime. Radnicki improved its offense after the break, as a good team effort and three-pointers by Mladjan and Balmazovic gave the guests a 42-48 edge late in the third quarter. It didn't last long, however, as McCullum, Landon Milbourne and Ioannis Athanasoulas fueled a game-changing 14-0 run that put Panionios ahead for good, 56-48. Panionios extended its margin to 68-58 but Radnikci got as close as 71-70 with 22 seconds left. Free throws by Duvnjak, Milbourne and McCollum sealed the outcome down the stretch.

Duvnjak had 4 points in 6-0 opening run but Seeley and Nikola Kalinic soon gave Radnicki its first lead, 6-9. Radnicki found a new go-to guy in Yarou, as Panionios made just 4 of its 15 opening shots in this game. Marios Batis tried to change things with a three-pointer which brought Panionios within 12-15 after 10 minutes. McCollum, who had been scoreless until now, had 8 quick points to put Panionios back ahead, 20-17, early in the second quarter. Marc Antonio Carter, McCullum and Duvnjak made free throws for a 28-25 Panionios lead at halftime. Mladjan struck from downtown right after the break and a layup by Stefan Jovic put Radnicki back ahead, 30-32. Duvnjak and McCollum stepped up for Panionios and a three-point play by Milbourne tied it at 39-39. Sava Lesic and Balmazovic allowed Radnicki to regain the lead, 44-48, after 30 minutes. Panionios improved its defense early in the fourth quarter, as Milbourne and Athanasoulas led a 14-0 run whicb Batis capped with a layup for a 56-48 margin with 7 minutes left. Marko Marinovic and Kalinic tried to bring Radnicki back to life but Vasileios Kavvadas stepped up in crunch time and a three-pointer by Dubnjak seemed to seal the outcome, 66-56, with over 3 minutes left. Balzamovic, Mladjan and Seeley thought otherwise, bringing Radnicki within 70-69 with 47 seconds left. McCullum and Lesic split free throws, Duvnjak and Jovic did not miss and Milbourne hit both attempts for a 75-72 Panionios lead. A turnover by Jovic and more foul shots by McCollum allowed Panionios to celebrate the win.

Head Coaches

SFAIROPOULOS, IOANNIS
Panionios Athens
"We had composure and determination at the end of the game. It is a very important win in out first Eurocup game this season. We played against a young, talented team. We wanted to control the game rhythm because our opponent is playing in high tempo. We controled the tempo for the biggest part of the game, except the third quarter. We can play better on offense and defense. If we do it, we will play better in difficult games as this was."
NIKOLIC, MIROSLAV
Radnicki Kragujevac
"We have a very young team. Being in the Eurocup is like a school for our team. We hope to play better in the future. Congratulations to Panionios. We didn'ʼt have the concentration required to win the game."

Players

ATHANASOULAS, IOANNIS
Panionios Athens
"Our main goal was to control the tempo. We did it in the first half of the game. We didn'ʼt have a good start in the second half and our opponent became more confident, but we stayed focused in the fourth quarter and took a very important win."
YAROU, MOUPHTAOU
Radnicki Kragujevac
"We missed too many free throws. We had the chance to win the game, but we did not follow our game plan."
