"I would firstly like to congratulate my players. I would also like to thank our fantastic fans that once again created amazing atmosphere. Bilbao Basket showed great quality. We did not manage to play well defensively in the first half. That would have helped us to control the match and to slow down their rhythm. Fortunately, we played great offense. In the second half we improved our defense and managed to triumph over a serious opponent. It is important that we play our next games in our group more focused. Every game matters. We need to improve some segments in our game in our next game that we play in Russia. Only in that way we can fulfill our goal which is to progress from the group."
PUEYO, RAFAEL
Bilbao Basket
"I think Crvena Zvezda played a great game. And the match itself was fantastic. They had great percentages with both inside and outside shots, and they also controlled the rebounds. We needed to play more aggressively and to prevent some of the easy points they scored. We tried to change the rhythm of the game with the zone defense, but it did not work out well in the second half. I think Crvena Zvezda is a great team with a very good coach. They have an athletic team with the main player, Boban Marjanovic, who can change the direction of the game."

DRAGICEVIC, TADIJA
Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade
"This was a very important victory for our team. Bilbao Basket is a good team. I played against some of their players when I was last at Crvena Zvezda and when they played in Real Madrid. They have a lot of experienced players who did not come to Belgrade to lose. The game did not start well for us, but we played much better defense in the second half and we managed to triumph with a great margin. Our amazing fans carried us throughout the game. They helped all of my teammates to play a great game, in which every one of them contributed. "
MARKOTA, DAMIR
Bilbao Basket
"I would like to congratulate Crvena Zvezda, they deserved the win. I think that they wanted to win more than we did and it showed on the court. It is tough to win if you play against a team that shows this amount of energy and in front of these fantastic fans. "
