Head Coaches

KARASEV, VASILY
Zenit St Petersburg
"I want to thank all the fans who came to Moscow to support us because the game was very important for us. I want to thank players a lot because with long travels and the injuries of two important players they played hard in defense, we conceded only 11 points in the last quarter and could qualify to the eighthfinals. "
RECALCATI, CARLO
Umana Reyer Venice
"It was a very difficult game because we faced a very strong team. We arrived to Moscow without [Mike] Green, [Hrvoje] Peric and [Tomas] Ress. That’s why we had small rotation. We played a good first half. We had variety in offence and scored a lot. In the second half we had troubles with the fouls and Zenit’s bigger rotation worked."

Players

TIMMA, JANIS
Zenit St Petersburg
"I think we deserved the win. We’ve played a good season so far to qualify from the first place. The game was tough but we were able to play till the very end and win."
VIGGIANO, JEFF
Umana Reyer Venice
"We let Zenit to have too much free space and lost many balls on rebounds. We missed too many free shots. Zenit is a good team; they played aggressively in defense and didn’t let us show our basketball. Despite this, I think we still have a good chance to advance. "
