Rytas within 56-41 at halftime.

Bjelica, Eidson and Milisavljevic fueled a 0-8 run that got L. Rytas within 56-49 right after the break. Rytas needed a miracle comeback to return to the game and Michailas Asiminovas tried to ignite it with a fast break layup. "We saw an intense game with good offensive parts for us. Then we had a bad start to the third quarter and they scored 10 points in two minutes and got close. At that point, we regrouped in defense and we managed to pull away again and it looked like we would be able to break the game open, but that didn't happen. After seeign how the game developed, 8 to 10 points on the scoreboard is a good result. Overall I think we were better and I think my team did a good job, I hope this result is good enough for us for the second leg. Asvel defeated Azovmash and now we are all with one win, so let's see who is the first one to win a road game. We must beat Asvel now next week at home and see what happens on the road. The points difference in all these games will be extremely important."

"We weren't bad at all in the first quarter but we played bad in the second. There, we lost the game. It looked like we came here on a tourist visit. I am not going to evaluate whether our last basket was valid or not. It is not my job to talk about the referees. Anyway, I hope we don't need those points to advance to the next round."
