Head Coaches

BAGATSKIS, AINARS
Nizhny Novgorod
"I know players and the coach from Strasbourg for many years and they surprised us only with their high percentage of shots. Almost all the players had impact. I don't want to blame my team or say that they didn't play defense. They did! But most of the shots from Strasbourg were fantastic. We just lost the first game and we'll see what's going to happen in the second. Nine points in modern basketball doesn't mean anything. It will be another day and another game."
COLLET, VINCENT
Strasbourg
"I'm satisfied that we won this game. We wanted to avoid the situation that happened previously with Zenit, when they lost here by 26 points. We wanted to keep our chances to come back in our place. During 37 minutes, we showed a great performance on offense; defensively, only after halftime. But in the last 3 minutes of the game, we stopped playing and Nizhny Novgorod used it. They kept fighting and started to make good shots. They came back and we were lucky that Duport made a three-point shot at the end that gave us a nine-point advantage."

Players

COLLINS, MARDY
Strasbourg
"Except the last 3 minutes, we played a great game. We have to play next week like we played the first 37 minutes this evening, if we want to reach the next round. You can never expect shooting the way we did, but we started the game well. Our goal was to execute our plays and get easy baskets. Our defense was great in the second half."
