Head Coaches

BUTAUTAS, RAMUNAS
VEF Riga
"First I want to congratulate our team for the win. I want to pesonally thank our team captain Janicenoks who played through a stomach flu. We executed our game plan well, got their big men in foul trouble early, which worked to our advantage well. I am happy with one, but it was only the first game and we have to look forward."
MARKOPOULOS, SOULIS
PAOK Thessaloniki
"I want to congratulate the opponent for the win. Our big guys made a lot of fouls early and we had to alternate our game plan. That might have cost us the win. VEF is a good team they played well and got the win today."

Players

KAVALIAUSKAS, ANTANAS
VEF Riga
"I am happy with the win, but there were a lot of areas where we could improve our game. I do not think that you saw our true face today, we can play much better!"
WRIGHT, RASHAD
PAOK Thessaloniki
"We got into foul trouble early so we could not play as aggressively as we wanted. Our opponent played well and got the win. This is only the first game, so we will keep fighting in the next games."
