KK Split added another win to its collection with a 76-66 victory over Real Madrid in the 5-8 classification games of the Ciutat de L'Hospitalet tournament on Wednesday afternoon in L'Hospitalet, Spain. Real took control over the game in the first quarter, enough to reach the break with a 36-43 gap, but scored only 7 points in the third quarter when Split took over, grabbed a nine point lead with the third quarter buzzer, 59-50 and secured it until the final buzzer. Toni Katic continued his scoring performance with 33 points with 12 made shots in 19 attempts in addition to 9 rebounds. Filip Najev added 19 points and 5 blocks while Vicko Perasovic finished with 12 points. Real saw Francisco Santos reach 20 points in 20 minutes, Daniel Busto added 15 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocks, and Juan Gabriel Martinez added 8 points and 10 rebounds. KK Split will take on Lietuvos Rytas who beat Regal FC Barcelona 96-86, in a battle for the 5th spot in the games. Real won its first game in the tournament but suffered two consecutive losses on the last two days of the games to finish ranked in the 7-8 places.
